What is live-in care?

Live-in care means having a professional carer stay in the home, 24 hours a day, to provide personal support, companionship, and assistance with daily living. This allows people to remain in the comfort of their own homes rather than move into a residential care setting.

What services do you provide?

We offer a wide range of services including personal care, companionship, couples care, dementia support, palliative care, and rehabilitation after illness or injury. Each care plan is tailored to the individual’s needs. Plus, because we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) we are legally regulated to provide personal care – this can include: washing and dressing, grooming, and medication administration, for example.

Where do you operate?

Our services are available across East Sussex, West Sussex, and Kent. Go here to discover more on the Areas We Cover.

How much does live-in care cost?
Care packages start from £1,195 per week. Exact costs depend on the level of support required, and we provide a transparent breakdown with no hidden fees.
How do you match carers with customers?

We take into account not just skills and experience, but also personality, gender preferences, hobbies, cultural background, and language to ensure a comfortable and positive match between carer and client.

Are your carers trained and vetted?
Yes. All carers undergo thorough vetting, including DBS checks, and receive professional training. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Can I try the service before committing?
Yes, we offer a Two-Week Trial Package so you can experience our service before making a long-term decision.
What happens if my care needs change?
We regularly review care plans and adapt them as needs evolve, ensuring support is always appropriate and effective.
How does live-in care compare to residential care?
Live-in care allows people to remain at home in familiar surroundings, enjoying personalised one-to-one support and care.
What happens if my carer is unavailable?
We arrange a fully trained replacement carer to ensure continuity of care if your regular carer takes holiday or is unwell.
How do I get started?
Simply get in touch via our website or phone. You can use our Care Package Builder to outline your needs, after which we will create a tailored care plan and introduce a suitable carer.
Are there hidden costs?
No. We are transparent with pricing, and there are no unexpected charges.
Do you provide night-time support?
Yes. Our carers live in the home and can provide assistance during the night if required.
Can live-in care be funded through the local authority or NHS?
It can, but it is rare for local councils to fund live-in care, as it is often beneficial to the council to place people in residential care rather than support them with live-in care at home. This is because, when entering residential care, a Council can place a legal charge on your property to recover the costs of long-term residential care through a process called a Deferred Payment Agreement (DPA). This is when a legal charge is held on your home, and repayment of your residential care fees will be made to the council after your property is sold. DPA does not apply to Live-in care support where people receive care in their own home.

Depending on eligibility, however, some people may receive funding from the local council or NHS. We can guide you through the process of applying for support, but we would strongly suggest you consult a financial expert before signing a DPA.

What is companionship care?
Companionship live-in care focuses on social interaction, help with daily routines, and keeping customers engaged with hobbies, interests, and the community, alongside light household tasks.
How is payment handled?
We typically arrange payments every month. Our preferred method is by direct debit, but we can manage payments through bank transfer. Deposits are required before care begins. We also provide clear terms on cancellation and refunds. For eligible clients, funding from local authorities or the NHS can sometimes be applied toward live-in care costs.
Is there a minimum period for care?

Apart from our two-week trial package, we are flexible and can arrange both short-term and long-term care. There is no strict minimum commitment, and care plans can be adapted to suit each situation.

How are emergencies handled?

Our carers are trained to respond quickly to emergencies such as illness, accidents, or falls. We have 24/7 support available, and carers follow clear procedures to ensure clients receive immediate and appropriate help.
